FAQ¶
How do I get started?
The rules channel has everything for making your dreams come true.
What do regular game sessions look like?
The DM may schedule events, but you are encouraged to schedule games with the DM when you have a goal in mind.
How much time will this take per week?
As much or as little as you want to give. If you are busy and don't have time to give orders to your PC, it will simply do nothing new in the meantime.
I want to amass resources until I am invincible.
Think about how to include other players instead. Some resource gathering is required to enact plans, but this is a game that we all want to enjoy. Be creative, sneaky, and devious, but play with the good of the game in mind.
I found an exploit in the rules.
Let the DM know about it and he will probably give you a reward.
Is PvP allowed? Can characters kill other characters?
Absolutely. The stakes are real in this campaign. The thing to remember is that we all want to have fun. There are ways to KO another character that add to the fun, so try for that, but characters have been and will continue to be killed.
What if my character dies? Or I want to retire it?
Then you are encouraged to make another.
Does this campaign have an endpoint?
Inter-player conflict will drive this campaign, and as long as there is interesting conflict the campaign will endure. However, the DM anticipates that an equilibrium state will be reached at some point. Then a new phase of the campaign will likely begin.
Is it too late to join?
This game will always take new players. Talk to the DM and he'll get you set up.
What is the DM's goal for this campaign?
The DM believes that the most interesting things in the world will be what other players are doing and how players react and adapt. If you know the competition is real as opposed to a "balanced" challenge made by the DM, then the stakes are higher and more exciting.
The DM's hope is that players will create content for each other. An obvious way to do this would be if people create dungeons to represent their own lairs, but there is so much more that is possible. All players are invited to be a DM.
I want my character to do everything in secret. I'll go to great lengths to describe how this is possible. Will that make it so there won't be any public posts about what I'm doing?
No. Player interaction is the key to the game. The fog of war can't be too thick or the game will die. Whatever actions are taken, there will almost certainly be gossip. 🚫🐢
How do I use the dice bot?

How should I send orders?
Make it easy to parse. Brevity is good. Always ask yourself, "Why does this action drive any kind of interest in the game at all, for anyone, other than so you can see your number go up?"
This article is informative: Play-by-post: reducing friction.
I have an idea or question that will take some back and forth with the DM.
Feel free to set up a voice chat with the DM to hash it out. Easier than text.
How do I increase my player ranking?
