General Resolution Methods

When a situation has no procedure, use one of these methods to resolve it.

The Coin of Fate

When available rules are unclear or a rare situation has no definitive answer, the DM selects at least two possible outcomes and lets fate decide between them with a die roll. The roll is quickest as a 50/50 chance but may be weighted as the DM wishes.

The possibilities chosen do not imply that the same ones will be chosen for a similar future case, nor does the weighting used mean the same weighting must be used later. The coin of fate resolves the question without creating a permanent precedent.

Rather than expanding the ruleset with every ruling, the game embraces uncertainty. In a world shaped by luck, magic, and the whims of gods, not every outcome can or should be predicted.
